Welcome! If you're new, I'm MK, the owner and sole person dedicated to working on breadartjournal. I wear many hats with this brand, and have been growing and evolving it as many times as I have grown and evolved in the last half-decade. I can't promise a regular update schedule, but I will come in to update this page from time to time.
Last July 11, we had the Q3 Journal Jam: Half Year Point! I forgot to take photos, but we "sequestered" around 4 different areas of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Shangri-la Mall. We shared supplies, socialized, and we even got to sell some of our event journaling kits. I'm always pleasantly surprised at the turnout of these events, with this one being in the 20+ attendees range. I try not to rely on the numbers as this is a very casual event, but I'm extremely grateful for those who decided to come through and those who supported us by purchasing the event journaling kit! Thank you so much! (Thank you also to everyone who helped clean up after!)
Our next Journal Jam will be our Q4/Year-End event, so we're hoping you'll be able to join us then! Final dates will be announced probably by late September or early October.
In addition to our Q4 event, Belle (@bellemaps) and I will be at another journaling event at Ebi10 Greenhills Shopping Center, Greenhills, San Juan this August 8, Saturday afternoon! I'll be bringing event journaling kits leftover from our Journal Jam (priced at PHP 600/kit) to sell, as well as my usual journaling supplies. If you'll be in the area, come through! We'd love to have you with us!
I would also like to talk about PlannerCon: Page One! I haven't been participating in selling much at events lately, so sending in my application was kind of a shot in the dark. But, we got in, and I'm very excited about that! With our slot now fully paid, I'm brainstorming sticker designs and other goodies for journaling! A good chunk of what I'll be bringing are re-worked/re-vamped designs for a more streamlined production process, but I'll also be bringing some new things to debut this November! Among the re-worked designs are our alphabet/number stickers in assorted gradients and finishes, some mini journaling bundles, and the return of our washi tape!
If you have anything you want to see from us this PlannerCon, we'd love to hear it!
Apart from all of those exciting things, I've been chipping away at my TBR this year. As of writing, I'm at a little before the halfway point in Dan Simmons' The Terror -- a drawn out and horrifying read that takes place in an arctic exploration gone south. I've also picked up a series much, much lighter in tone -- The Disabled Tyrant's Pet Fish by Xue Shan Fei Hu. I'm almost done with the first volume, and it's a nice break from the woes of Captain Crozier and the men stranded on the ice.
My reading goal this year is set for 12 books, and I've finished 8. I'm looking forward to not only meeting my reading goal, but also the possibility of going over the goal that I had set! I've got a few more books lined up, mostly in the horror genre, but the next book I pick up could be literally anything from my long-suffering TBR list, haha. If you'd like to keep up with my sporadic reading journey, feel free to add me on Storygraph!
I guess that's all for now.
Thanks for reading!
