(not in the mood for love by Jade Mark CapiƱanes, Everything's Fine, 2026)

I had applied to Everything's Fine open call for layout artists on instagram by sending them an email, and was contacted in February 2026 for this job. It was my first time laying out something like this, as I was more used to educational material and shorter form creative writing being. The book was completed in roughly two to three weeks before being sent to final print. Due to the nature of the rush, revisions were brought in simultaneously with the initial layout of the manuscript. This project really tested my creative skill and technical capability, and I am grateful for the lessons I learned from this project.

This layout project was initially supposed to be a buffer while I applied for full-time positions and juggled clients. Instead, I found myself involved not only in the design of the 12th volume's issues, but in also future-proofing subsequent issues by creating and editing the layout design template for this publication, among other projects and initiatives by the Journal.
